Community Outreach Program Group Classes
Affordable Classes: Group classes are taught on the topics listed below when enough interested people are found. These hands-on workshops are excellent bonding experience for parent-tween or parent-teen, or for making new friends. Call class leader Diane at 707-664-8656 to register your interest or to sign up for a class. Nominal fees support the Outreach Program.
Small Trellis Making: Learn to shape a trellis from "stripped" redwood branches. Owner provides redwood branches, tiny nails and refreshments. Two hours. Per person cost: $15. New friends and a trellis!
Secret Rock Writing: Pick out a "split" rock (the shop owner has a collection of them), and dream up a two-part saying - such as "Remember, Smile" - and you paint both the inside and the outside of your rock, then paint (write) your saying on/in it. Lot's of fun! Two hours. Owner provides the split rock and paint, and refreshments. Per person cost: $15. New friends and a rock with a secret!
Holiday or Summer Garlands: Fashion seasonal foliage into garlands (securing with wire). It smells so good! All materials and a refreshements provided. Two hours. Cost per person $10. New friends and a wall or table decoration!
Plant Seeds Together: Let's plant seeds together in 6-pack trays, and make markers for identification. All materials and a refreshments provided. Two hours. Cost per person $10. New friends and an early start!
Plant-a-Plant Workshop: Plant an aloe vera to create a gift for someone. Fun and unique. Materials and a refreshments provided. Two hours. Cost per person $10. New friends and a gift!
